The Elida, Ohio community is mourning the loss of Kenny Schultheis, a beloved young athlete and friend, who passed away unexpectedly.
Kenny, a proud member of the Elida High School Bulldogs Varsity Football team, wore jersey #70 with pride and represented the Class of 2027. He began his football journey with the Uniopolis Browns Youth Football Team, where his love for the sport first took root. Known for his determination on the field and his sportsmanship, Kenny earned the respect and admiration of coaches, teammates, and opponents alike.
Off the field, Kenny was remembered for his kind heart, warm smile, and the way he made everyone feel welcome. Friends describe him as “the nicest person you could ever meet” with “a heart of gold.” Just two weeks before his passing, Kenny was baptized, a testament to his deep faith and love for the Lord.
His sudden death has left his family, friends, and the entire Elida community heartbroken. The Uniopolis Browns Youth Football Team, Shawnee Football Parents Association, and countless individuals have expressed their condolences, asking for prayers and support for his family during this time.
Kenny’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him — in the laughter he shared, the friendships he built, and the example he set as both an athlete and a person of faith.
He is survived by his loving family, including his parents, grandparents, and many close friends who will cherish his memory forever.
